"Freedom of expression" and all that...
This is really pointless.

I'd like to have the freedom to express myself too, by running around wearing just a fig leaf. Whoops, can't do that, I'm heterosexual. Bummer.

But you can. Or should be able to, at any rate.

But why should I? I'm a decent citizen outwardly, and I can express my displeasure of society through other, more mature means.

Why don't these LGBT fools try and do the same?

To be fair, most of them do. Ask Gandalf :

That makes two wizards then.

Gandalf + Dumbledore?

Actually no that's wrong.

Like I said, most people (there are always exceptions, of course) don't give a scurvy rat's ass about other peoples sex life.
It's the buffoonery and militance that is off-putting.

Many a shipper/slashfic fanboy/girl would agree, but only because you're crossing universes.

And gay pride parades are often obnoxious. But essentially for political reasons. There is a shock value in being obnoxiously gay in a community. It is liberating for them. We listen to bands that crucified hookers on stage, soaking them in blood and smearing animal meat on them, i.e., Gorgoroth, who the fuck are we to judge if they run around with their dick in a sock, like RHCP did for a whole tour, no?

For listening to extreme metal, you fucks are conservative.

And thanks for the kudos, kids who said props.
Well those bands are artists, and those things are done within the context of performing their art. Being obnoxiously anything isn't a good way to win support. I mean, look at the civil rights movement of the 50's & 60's. African Americans as a whole had a totally different approach with their demonstrations than these kind of LGBT parades.

Obviously comparing a privately viewed show to a public event is silly.
If homos want to make themselves look like deviants and weirdos, than they have nobody but themselves to blame when they are met with rejection. I find it very difficult to grant an iota of serious consideration to whatever it is they are marching around for in the face of grown men and women walking around like some kind of BDSM shop exploded all over the place.
It's a joke, and only ensures that they will be even further marginalized.

You live in a shithole AKA California, get out while you still can or the rampant wrath of god will be upon ye.

So metalheads should also avoid growing their hair long, getting tattoos, piercings, wearing macabre clothing, etc. It makes them look like deviants and weirdos!

No, but if it is met with a jaundiced eye, don't whine about it.
You chose how you present yourself to the world, so be prepared for whatever consequences there may be as a result of that choice.

It's amusing to see a Hollywood celebrity go on about "diversity, tolerance and discrimination"... kind of like diversity, tolerance and lack of discrimination within The Industry in regards to those with a more right leaning political position, right?
