I actually think they're pretty good, I traded my copy of Hewn oak for some stuff, but this isn't a bad project by any means.

This is really beautiful music. Post-black metal is the best way to describe it, because it totally has that vibe without doing black metal, i.e., the label pacifies the purists. But seriously, this has an element of beauty in it that Panopticon seldomly captures and that Petrychor might be seen as striving for. It has a very naturalistic vibe, bringing Blood of the Black Owl to mind minus the ritualistic elements that they rely upon.

When the metal begins on Banished, following the ethereal opening, shit is just good.
