I hope this clip means the new album will be prog metal rather than prog rock. I did love the last one but their metal stuff is also great so I hope this new album will be more metal.

The more prog rock they'll get, the better.

That's the video of their other new song they put out, Deathbound. WATCH IT--such a fucking awesome video, plus the song is really good. Can't wait for this next album.

This isn't from the new album, you realise, but something they recorded in the Crack The Skye sessions and left off that album because it didn't fit the vibes. Good song, though, and great video.

Its of course going to sound like overproduced dogshit, lacking any semblance that the original possessed in terms of hostile songwriting. I'm going to enjoy giving it a scathing review, for a band that has been shit for a long time.

don't be so harsh steve

Everything he doesn't love is automatically the lowest form of shit. Such is the way of steve.

The lowest form of criticism coming from some old curmudgeon, who listens more to shitty unknown folk bands and a guy that thinks Krallice is black metal is hardly valid and even at the abysmal levels of credibility from either Stefan or Trapt none of them are manly enough to handle Internal Bleeding or The Partisan Turbine. I love you all

Can't say too much for Quantos, I've heard a few songs and it was ok. Nothing can be as horrible as AMSG

I don't think this has been posted yet. Insomnium's new album "One for the Sorrow" will be released on October 12th in Finland, October 17th the rest of Europe and October 18th in North America via Century Media Records. Insomnium's guitarist Ville Friman comments on the album title: "The name 'One For Sorrow' comes from a traditional children’s nursery rhyme. There are ten different scenarios in the original rhyme; likewise there are ten different songs and stories on our album. I think 'One For Sorrow' truly depicts what this album is all about: bereavement, grief and loss." According to a press release, "One For Sorrow" is "such an amalgamation of styles that pigeonholing [Insomnium] into a single category would be to rob the band of its true complexity and ignore the very essence of its sound. Recalling art-metal titans CULT OF LUNA at one turn and brutal visionaries Amon Amarth at others, 'One For Sorrow' displays the true musical breadth of a band that has clearly come into its own."

So after listening to the new Anthrax song quite a bit, I've decided that it's rather good, however much they rip off their own back catalogue. Really looking forwards to Worship Music.

Yeah. The song is a total rehash and too repetitive, but still gives me hope considering they're trying to go back to the glory days.

Indeed. What matters is the style - they've finally come around to what we want to hear from them, as opposed to what they think they should be playing. I like John Bush, but they should have returned to this sort of thing years ago.

Umm just because it's them doing what I want to hear them doing it isn't actually a good song.

It's both. The former enhances the latter, though.

Metallica tried it and even they were somewhat successful, I'm hopeful Anthrax can pull it off.

Should be excellent, Insomnium haven't disappointed yet.

New Fleshgod Apocalypse due August! That's a nice surprise. Video for new track, more orchestral than I remember them being:

holy shit. I need to give this band a million more listens. Way more orchestral that song is, throughout teh song to be honest where it usually was only interludes. I love it. Reminds me of the newest Septicflesh.

I thought it was better than Septic Flesh frankly, excepting when they went all Italian opera on us with those clean vox. I hope they don't make a habit of that on every track on the new album. Otherwise, excellent, love the orchestral integration.

I posted the cover art for the new Fleshgod Apocalypse like... a month ago and no one said anything. :lame:

But that new song makes me incredibly excited. If the whole album turns out to be just as spectacular I could easily see myself giving it a score of 95 or above. :dio:
