The Soloist. Decent. I don't get the urine scenes and I don't like how they seemed to equate synesthesia with schizophrenia.

Adjustment Bureau - wow what an excellent movie.

I have to say Matt Damon is one of my favourite actors these days. Very prolific and very capable.

I heard negative things about the Adjustment Bureau, which was a shame because I really liked the premise.

Anyways, re-watching Angela's Ashes because I saw it too long ago and I'm reading the book now as well. 10 minutes in and it's had me close to tears twice already.

I was going to watch Adjustment Bureau today because Emily Blunt is pretty but then my computer didn't want to play the DVD.

Ah, nice catch ! Hollywood doing economies of scale. It really is the end of an era.

Hollywood's pretty much dead right now, as far as I'm concerned. This article is a pretty good explaination on what I find so repugnant in movies today.

Good stuff. For the tl;dr crowd, basically Shia LaBeouf should kill himself.

There still are good movies coming from Hollywood factories.

Maybe a little more than that.
Sure, if you only consider the teenage-action blockbusters, it's no wonder you consider Hollywood's in an advanced state of decay...

The Cell - What a fucked up movie.
Metal: A Headbanger's Journey - Not sure what to think. Some interesting stuff and overall quite enjoyable to watch but I wish it would've gone a bit more in depth.

Limitless. Entertaining enough. But I can't stand the "learn everything without any effort" thing à la Matrix. It really pisses me off.

Lol, really? That's your idea of respectable filmmaking, Scott Pilgrim?

Every movie has its own purpose. SP is damn fun and that's all I wanted from it. I gotta admit I prefer Kick Ass but SP's still great.

EDIT:
What exactly do you call "respectable movie making"?
