This review kind reminds me of when a high-brow magazine like the New Yorker reviews "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith."

The idea is "We all know it's gonna suck anyway, so let's give the review to the person who will make fun of it the best."

Then everyone laughs and says "Great review, I know it sucks even though I haven't seen/listened to it! Hee hee! Cause it's a Star Wars Prequel/Limp Bizkit album!"

So it becomes a big parody because the reviewer obviously has an axe to grind. This is not a good album, but giving it a 10/100 is ridiculous. That's like giving a girl a 1 out of 10 on HotorNot.com. She'd have to be 300 pounds, missing an arm, and look like King Hippo to warrant a score like that.

Limp Bizkit is not a good band, but this album is not THAT bad.

If you're going to give a review, give a real review, not a celebration of Durst hating.

Many other sites gave this album positive reviews. I'm just saying. I haven't heard this album, but the time you put into hating this album is puzzling. Have you liked any Limp Bizkit album? If not, why do a completely biased review? Why waste the space you could have used to do a legitimate review? Why review a band's new album if you hate the band anyway? A for effort, but why even put forth the effort? I guess cause you figured out a cool Durst like rap review. Did this site force you to do this review or something? Whatever the reason, this review is a waste of my time and yours.

Frigid should love this because you guys are making him look really good right now

My god you are such a cunt.

Ah wut a matter bucky you finally found some friends you can relate to thought you'd be happy

Limp Bizkit sucks but dragging me into this is neither clever or cute.

Ok, so I don't listen to rap. If you guys do, that's fine. I expected some backlash from my comments. Maybe the Durst like comment was off base, but how is it eyebrow raising that a someone who listens to metal wouldn't know a rap song reference? I'm just saying, why waste the space on a album for a 10/100 review? I guess I better brush up on my knowledge of Rap in order to comment on the Metal Reviews website. I apologize for not understanding the reference. I understand that it must have taken some time to write. I made some valid points about wasting space on a Metal Review site to cover a crappy Rap/Rock CD and bash it when the time could have been spent covering a metal band. What's next the new Hollywood Undead, Linkin Park, or P.O.D. CD being covered on this site? I believe that would be a waste of time. By the way, Alexander saying there are right and wrong sides is an elitist comment and should not be taken seriously.

I agree, good and bad is pretty subjective. Alas, defending Limp Shitkit is just weird and laughable. And I don't see what's wrong with a bit of fun in a review. Zad's fighting to get reviews interesting and fun to read, as he already said in the "reviews are obsolete" thread.

Because Anthrax did two well known covers of the very song.

Great review, loved it. And like it or not, nu-metal is (sadly) a subgenre of metal.

I certainly approve reviewing this piece of crap than some of the stuff we sometimes see on this website that have nothing to do with metal (eg. Little Richard from a few months back).

I actually have nothing against Nu-Metal. Not my cup of tea but don't care if anyone else likes it (my best friend loves it and I respect his love of Nu-Metal more than I do some True Metal posers that I used to know).

But I think musically Nu-metal is misnamed. It should probably be Raprock or Nu-Rock though for the ones who don't use rapping.

The music might use heavy guitars but then it doesn't follow any known heavy metal stylings. Music often uses rock beats and the riffs are more rock or even funk but with heavily distorted drop D tuning.

Remember that Punk and hardcore also use heavy guitars and even harsh vocals but they are not metal.

Similarly most Nu-Metal bands do not play anything related to Metal.

I would say Slipknot are metal as there are clear metal stylings in a lot of their music. SOAD are occassionally metalesque but there's also plenty of punk, funk and anything else thrown in.

Limp Bizkit, Korn, Soil, Spineshank etc have very little to do with metal.

Main rock/metal influence I can hear in these bands is Faith No More and they're only metal at times (and then probably only on the Real Thing and the album before it).
