June 17th can't come soon enough

I can't stop listening to The End Of Innocence , especially know that it has grown on me. If the whole album is at the same level then we're in for a hell of a ride guys :dio:

I can't stop listening to it. Man Allen sounds so strong and Romeo does great shredding indeed if this song is anything like the rest of the album this will be their best since Odyssey :dio: :dio: :dio:

I'm kinda tired of these guys, but honestly they always deliver. I think it's the fact that I'm not like a huge fan of the genre they play, but they do so well that I'm definitely a fan. I've seen them live and it was an insane show, talent pouring out everywhere, so I can't take anything away from the band.

I think their delay behind releases helps a lot, though. Or at least it seems like it takes forever for them to put out an album anymore. Keeps it a bit more fresh and you know the record is going to be solid.

Did you see them at the Ranch Bowl by chance? That's where I saw them... with Devin Townsend.

Never came back to this thread, sorry, but yes that's where I saw them. Great show!

I love the song but yeah that was pretty out of place and not something i expect from SX.

Thankfully the song as a whole is pretty kickass. I really like the more aggressive vocal style by Allen. :dio:

Well just had my first full listen and....as expected it's fucking awesome !!! .

Not sure if it's better than Paradise Lost but so far i'd say it's in the same vein. I pre ordered this a while ago and can say that i'm not disappointed with my decision.

Holy shit. Just listened to the song Iconoclast and it is fucking fantastic. A more progressive version of the Paradise Lost style. If the rest of the album is like this and The End of the Innocence, Symphony X will have once again most likely produced the album of the year for me.

Actually it gets even better as the album progress. Electric Messiah , Children Of A Faceless God , Heretic , Bastards Of The Machine , When All Is Lost....fuck there aren't a weak song on the album.

That shit is fucking killer and already my favorite album of 2011 :dio:

This is a very good album, isn't it? Doing the job of both Iced Earth and Dream Theater, both have a high mark to beat.

Just heard that. I was about to post about it, and then saw you already did.

I swear I laughed to tears for two whole minutes.

I think Symphony X should be expanded to a more aggressive style, they established a Paradise Lost. IMO Odyssey is a series of masterpieces, rather than trying to rebuild, especially in the wheel, I would rather they continue in their new direction.

Totally agree, especially in the wheel.
