Anyone been able to get into this album? Isn't coming close to any of their prior works for me due to how slow it is.

edit: Actually listening to this again right now and am digging it, I guess it's better when you're drinking beer.

The last time I listened to this album was when it first came out and I haven't listened to it ever since. But I love Chimera. Maybe getting drunk to Ordo Ad Chao will help a lot!

I third the drunk idea. I bought this pretty recently after it came out and STILL can't get into it.

You definitely have to be in a certain mood to appreciate this album.

It's definitely a weird album yet nothing beats Grand declaration of war or Chimera, with Attilah on vocals it also adds another dimension of being somewhat of a pariah on the bm scene. It's a good album though

Good post. Black metal purists who don't like new mayhem are retarded.

Chimera and GDoW have so much character and intensity to them... The very dark feeling you get from listening to Mayhem.

Ordo was fine but nothing really tops Wolf's Lair Abyss in terms of new Mayhem.

I like GDoW a lot more than Ordo. GDoW has some sick shredding in it.
