I'm fine with patriotism - it's one of the reasons I love Iced Earth, and nationalism I can cope with, even if I think it's a wack ideology. But Nokturnal Mortum are off-bounds because they are white supremacist cunts with racist lyrics.

Oh fuck off. Loving your country and being proud of it is not exclusive to any belief or view. If I want communism, I want it for the benefit of my people.

I also thought their music would be a lot more... well, evil.

But I nearly pissed myself when I heard them for the first time. It may have been the flutes.

Lunar Poetry and Goat Horn may not sound evil either, but there is certainly something weird and dark about those albums. Highly recommended BM in the more traditional (with keys and melodic, somewhat resembling Emperor and Limbonic Art) sense, well before the folk brigade joined them and before The End Records dropped them for offensive lyrics.

x2 on Branikald, so check out Forest.... some of the best atmospheric BM I have ever heard, Temnozor and Walknut.

New NM isn't NS btw and is one of the best bm albums of the past 10 years.

Skip all the real metal I guess and prance on over to keep reviewing Radiohead and Captain Beefheart. Fags.

Walknut is excellent.

Branikald is excellent and worthy, but I always found Temnozor a bit on the jaunty side.

As for NM, I like the older material better; much prefer the newer Graveland.

Not everyone here is as devoted to reviewing metal releases as others.

To echo a much older point I don't believe this website has ever had any sort of debt to owe you, some reviewers take on garbage like Radiohead and Paramore. While others will write about underground acts that don't get more than two comments, and that is if anyone is nice enough to share their thoughts. Though if I may be so kind as to leave my own input, some tackling of the older archive albums would be nice.
