One side affect of this tinnitus thing (among many) that kind of scares me is the fact that i have become somewhat colder and indifferent to other peoples suffering. When you suffer each day, it does something to you, your mind, your mentality, your whole outlook on life. Truth is: I despise other peoples happiness, it makes me sick to watch other people happy knowing that i am very miserable. Maybe there is something wrong with me haha.

This. I have multiple sclerosis, which means my eyesight is fucked up (damaged optic nerve), I can't walk for 5 minutes without a walking stick, and I basically can't feel my feet anymore (granted, metal didn't cause my that obviously). I have other things I won't discuss here.

Anyway my point is, at first I couldn't stand other people's so-called problems. I often found myself genuinely wanting to toast them with a flamethrower. I still do sometimes. It happens.
And then one day I realized I'd be much better off focusing on what I can still do than bitching about what I cannot anymore. Not an easy task, obviously. But when I manage to do it, life is Oh-so-much-better.

So, no, I don't think there is anything wrong with you at all  Your bitterness is entirely understandable. I'm sure you'll find your ways to fight it :dio:

I gotta say. A lot of people have given me nothing but shit around here. You haven't. I seriously envy your disposition considering the struggles you go through. I would be extremely bitter in your position. Thanks for the kind words despite your circumstances. That shows a spirit I can only aspire to.

Thanks for your kind words, Addy. I appreciate them, really.

Just for the record : the hospital I go take my medication (1 slow perfusion, every 4 weeks) also hosts several cancer wards. Which means there often are people afflicted by cancer and (brain) tumor in my room (we're 4-5 patients per room). Chatting those guys up is a true life lesson. They're much more courageous and awesome than I'll ever be.
So my point is, when you have the chance to talk with that kind of warriors, you just stop complaining too much about your problems, even if they're serious, and start seeing things from a different perspective.

Finally, and as you know :

Yeah, there's always a greater perspective if you look for it, which I admittedly have a hard time finding in society where people bitch and moan about bullshit like texting bills. Thanks for the insight. You have my gratitude sharing your story with us and making us realize we shouldn't squander what we have.

The hetfield thing reminds me of the time I put on St. Anger and laughed at it for about 10 straight minutes. God, that snare drum is hilarious sounding. I can imagine Lars and Bob finely crafting that for hours on end and thinking it sounds great only to sound like Oscar the grouch got a drum stick for his birthday.

I nearly cried. The "wat don't kill yoooo make ye mawr strong" thing on Death Magnetic made me laugh for a couple of minutes, however.

A friend of mine was at a concert in a wheelchair due to a back injury when someone began wheeling him out of the venue. He didn't resist at first because he thought it was staff moving him because he was in a lower level in which he didn't have tickets for, but it was a guy trying to rob and abduct him. The guy ending up taking his wallet but ran off when my friend started punching at him. True story.

I believe it was at Mayhem Fest 2010 when Korn was headling, so i'm sure the venue was packed with wiggerbilly douchebags.
