This album is the bee's knees.

Indeed. I actually think that this album is better than Fortress in just about every way...I don't really miss the harsh vocals, since Rody is so goddamn amazing (seriously, my favorite vocalist in all of music) and the clean vocals on heavier parts give them a unique sound. Every song is so goddamn good, and they really have a knack for creating those "oh shit this part is coming up" parts. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't quite have the kind of downright epic outros that they've been known for (Sequoia Throne, Bloodmeat, Turn Soonest to the Sea, etc.), but at the same time, this because they're getting away from their formula and using more interesting song structures. In particular, Scurrilous really improves on overly schizophrenic feeling that Fortress had at times, though it's still crazy as fuck.

Yeah, I really like this album. No one else is doing fun/upbeat metal as well as PTH right now...it's that simple.

Yup.

This album is the greatest thing because I loved their first two but they had stuff I didn't like about them, and on Scurrilous they stopped doing the stuff I didn't like and did even more things that I like. Towards the end of Moonlight there's a transition that is a little off, and The Reign of Unending Terror could use a better climax, but every other song is p much perfection.

C'est La Vie video

Cool video, but C'est La Vie is my least favorite song off the album. Ah well...still perty awesome. Ironic that they're sitting in chairs and playing, since their live show seems to be about that exciting from what I've seen on Youtube.

They'll probably make like 7 other videos for the album anyway.

They all cut their hair. What, did they get day jobs or something?

Moonlight is one of my favorites. Really though, they're almost all equal in quality. If you like that one, I can't imagine you disliking the others.

Tongue-Splitter actually isn't one of my favorites (yet)... Hair Trigger, Moonlight, and Sex Tapes all contend for fave status right now. But these things change with more and more listens.

I think I over-listened this. Not really feeling it anymore... I did this with Fortress and Kezia, too

I love how the end of Dunsel comes across as angrier than most things just because there aren't many other harsh vocals on the album and the aren't any other parts that aggressive.
