Cycles, Napalm and now Cursed. Is Rotten Sound kinda just boring? I've never gotten into them. The riffs aren't interesting, the drums just blast and the vocals aren't too dynamic. Am I doing it wrong? If so, what am I missing?

I'm not sure that you are doing it wrong. The only album of their's I've "listened" to is Cycles, but every time I put it on I always end up zoning out, so I don't know what half of it sounds like. The riffs that should be punching me in the dick are instead washing over me. Some music is meant to induce zoning, but I don't think that effective grindcore is one of those genres.

Great band, what I've heard of their latest is a tad disappointing but willing to give it a chance. Certainly heirs to Nasum of the grind throne.

I seriously think you're right. Rotten Sound appears as if there is something awesome going on but the riffs lack groove and the blasting albeit mid tempo never lets up. Grind really has to have the bounce that comes with groove in order to be great.

ANb was an interesting mention. Beyond Agorapocalypse and Clockwork Sodom, they don't do much for me.

Agorapocalypse i found to be there best album as for the other i dont really like it that much

I like Agoraphobic Nosebleed's triple-vocal approach on that album, but I would like it more if one of their vocalists didn't kind of annoy me. The chick in that band rules, though.

Maybe I need to listen to more Rotten Sound. But Cycles was mostly boring to me. And I love Nasum.
