hmm, i think it's good too, but more like 75 or something. it just can't compete with all the more underground black metal trying to keep the old flame allive. if you want a list, then look in the nattefrost review forum... not all i mentioned there are better than this one by the way, if you want recommendations just ask 8)

I agree with you on the fact that the best Black Metal nowadays lies in the underground; but this release is amazing even if it's on Nuclear Blast; I mean just listen to Procreating Satan for christ's sake, its amazing!!!

There are some bands that even though they are popular and that they aren't strictly Black Metal, they're still amazing, Like Dimmu Borgir; Black Metal purists hate them just because they're known, I mean they want to have THEIR bands that no one knows and that release albums limited to 666 copies; and only because of that they diss the other bands, to be more tr00 or kvlt or whatever.

I can enjoy an album by Mütiilation as well as I can enjoy one by The Cure; even though one is extremley rare and the other is popular as Hell.

Not saying that you do Gast1, ol' buddy, but in general to all Metaheads, specially the ones into Black, which are the ones who most oftenly have this kind of stupid ideas: Judge the music, not the popularity.

I got this CD for $2 at a used cd store. At that point I've only heard of Gorgoroth & didn't know what to expect... Boy was I in for a treat! This CD makes me eat my own shit without even realizing it! It's that good! I even like Domine in Virtute tua Laetabitur Rex!... As for my favorite track... A tie! Exit- Through Carved Stones & Forces of Satan Storms!

Yes, but may it also be that they hate them because they dont like their music? I know this is the case with me, I am somewhat of a purist when it comes to black metal, but heck, I can still listen to bands like Emperor or Satyricon, dammit, even Limbonic art sometimes. One should not decide what he/she should listen debending on that if those bands are underground/popular/whatever. If you like what you hear, that should be enough, right?

I don't really get it. This is good, but not much more. I feel like there is something missing in the songs, can't really point out what though. It does not feel genuine.

I find Gorgoroth has always had this disjointed apparel.

Every time I listen to this, it feels like I'm on the verge of something really cool, but I can never really get it. :(

Maybe one day.
