Your one to talk given you can't listen to anything that isn't "catchy", tame, and has clean vocals. I think Latter era Death falls short of his early albums, it has it's moments but it's painful to listen to The Sound of Perseverance without nodding off. Chuck was always a musician to pull out all of the stops, and even with the masterful musicianship the albums come across as fluffy and tepid, which is understandable as to why your low standards are affixed to it. I give him his influence on the music, but his latter efforts lack anything on Human or even SBG

you guys are fucked in the head, scream bloody gore was nothing special there were loads of similar bands doing the same thing but honestly can we compare an album by another band that is similar to symbolic
honestly i do enjoy scream bloody gore but it comes to me as immature when compared to spiritual healing, individual and all the rest

In defense of the rest of the forum, no one here stated aside from myself that said it was their best. In my opinion Human was Death's finest hour, he was able to fuse his inherent technical flare with some of the linger viciousness of past albums. SBG was grimy and dirty thrash, yet it's slightly overshadowed by Suicide Machines, Flattening of emotions, and Lack of comprehension.

Actually, when it was released, there wasn't much (if anything) that approached that level of heaviness combined with musicianship (it may be a bit crude at times, but make no mistake, it is obviously the result of adept musicians.)



Evil Dead, Zombie Ritual, Infernal Death, Mutilation, Regurgitated Guts... nothing special? SBG (almost) made Possessed and Kreator sound light.
Maybe a bit of hyperbole on my part, but it took the heaviness and darkness to a whole new level, not to mention vastly superior songwriting and musicianship

Sound of Perseverance is really weak to side with steve. However, ITP is just fucking sick and if steve can't get down with that then fuck steve.

From what I've heard it's ok..not much more than that..It doesn't have nearly as much filler as Spiritual healing, and it didn't fall apart like Leprosy did.
