Jesus H. Christ, that was not good at all even if it isn't as awful as their previous two.

It wasn't as dire as Thom reckons, but I'm not expecting a masterpiece from them and never have. They're a band I got into for a while, but they repeated themselves too much and lost that songwriting edge which made their older albums enjoyable. Blooddrunk showed that they are getting back towards their older, better days, let's hope they can pull it off this time.

That sounded like music from an alternate history where Pantera were scandinavian :lame:

Could be worse, could be better. I've never expected them to blow my mind anyway.

This is no good.

The sound is just not good. The vocal effects suck the most.

The lyrics make me think he's just won at Distraction.

I'ts ok but as nearly every single CoB album since Hatecrew Deathroll it lacks the intensity and pomp of the earlier stuff.

It seems to me the keyboard player is superfluous to their new "tougher" sound. It'd be better to get rid of it and focus on guitars.

It occurs to me that Alexander's importance in the band was severely understated by the band.

They sound like a cheap Stone knockoff mixed with bodom-isms and metalcore since Roope joined.

Looking at the song credits it seems to be the Laiho show, but based on the the shitspiral the band took after he left it sure seems that way.

Fuck me! C.O.B. actually made a great album. Return to form even if it is eight years too late if you ask me.
I didn't expect absolutely anything from this one, but except for one track that drags on for a little bit, everything is the way it is suppose to be on a good COB album ( faster and more melodic than the last three records ). Personally, quality wise, I think it almost reaches FTR and HCDR, and blows away everything after that of course.
Don't lose hope guys, give this album a try. One of the biggest surprises of the year.
