What's the new Coldplay sound like? I find their work very hit and miss.. I loved "Spies" and "We Never Change" from Parachutes, but I can pass on a lot of their other songs..

Sounds a lot more like Rush of blood to the head with some experimentation. Speed of Sound is my favorite track so far, it has a really great mixture of instrumentations.

Oh.. damn. I couldn't find anything I really enjoyed on "Rush..".

Oh well. They have their moments, I might go download it to decide.

from what I listened it seems to be much more consistent in terms of quality, and the music is much more guitar oriented than before.
I've only listend to it once, so i'll have to take a couple more listens, but I really like what i'm hearing.

Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing.

I must say, it's a rather herculean feat to write a song about rape from the perspective of the rapist, and make it into a #1 single.

Fuck what the "Punk underground" says about it, but I love Dookie by Green Day. I just bought it last week and it's been in nonstop rotation in my CD player ever since. It also has nostalgic value for me (being that Green Day was really popular when I was in junior high).

Green Day = very popular now!

Multimillion selling latest album, and officially (wait for it), owners of the Best Punk Song Ever, as awarded by BBC Radio One listeners ( Dead Kennedys, the Damned, Black Flag, etc, etc, etc).

Van der Graaf Generator - The Aerosol Grey Machine

What happened on this one? I've heard six of their CDs.. the other five were beautiful and this one is absolutely terrible, did they change members?

King Crimson - THRAK

My favourite album ever. Fripp, Belew, Levin and Bruford are all complete gods.. people who describe their music as indulgent wankery are missing the point; it's such a perfect display of musicianship, and there are no wasted notes..
