Richard Marx is a contender.
I was wondering if I had missd anybody, but I am sticking with Air Supply. Just edging out Michael Bolton by a watery-eyed sigh.
Incidentally, my co-worker claims Bay City Rollers.

yes, this is the type of innocous shit we talk about at work to pass the time.
:D

I think Air Supply gets disqualified because Jim Steinman wrote too many of their songs. Marx wrote all of his I believe.

That was what first came to mind, actually. But that's just because I really dislike Bon Jovi.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Styx yet.

Or Peter Frampton.

Not enough to cancel out Paradise Theater, not nearly enough by far.

Try harder.
I'm thinking along the lines of Air Supply, REO Speedwagon or Eric Carmen.

LOL- I actually like some air supply songs and REO, but i have to admit that is funny. I think air supply even wrote the song Total eclipse of the heart that Bonnie Tyler made famous. She had one of the early Rock/metal voices!
