This sucks. I hope Jorg gets well. He's incredible and it would suck ass to lose him. He's got to be terrific person too considering how many bands he's been involved with.

When I was in med school I remember a consultant pathologist telling us that if he had to get diagnosed with a malignant form of cancer then he would choose papillary carcinoma of thyroid (malignant thyroid cancer). Technically speaking, this form of cancer is the easiest to cure and most people usually live a near normal life expectancy with proper treatment and management.

There are several forms of malignant thyroid cancer and im not sure what type Jörg Michael has, but hopefully its the less invasive papillary carcinoma (its also the most common type). He should have all the hope as its very treatable these days! Hope he gets better soon!
