Epic and heavy...definately worthy of a score in the 90's. At times it reminds me of Solstice, but they certainly have their own sound. Awesome :dio:

Been hearing a lot about this group lately from more than credible sources. I'll be getting this one soon.

Wow, got all fired up for this from the review, as I love me some classic, epic doom a la Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Isole, Doomsword. And, admittedly, I just went to quickly check out some samples after reading the review. To me the music sounds great, but the vocals really kind of killed it for me. Struck me as kind of weak and a little whiney.

Actually the voice reminded me a lot of the guy from Witchfynder General . . . which perhaps is the sound they were going for from an old school doom standpoint??? But I've never been a fan of that guy's voice either.

I will definitely give them a more serious listen, but anyone else find the music strong but the vocals lacking?

I can see where you're coming from regarding the vocals, but I don't agree. I think they fit this kind of music perfectly.

I really like the vocals. I wasnt expecting them to sound that way, but I think the way they were recorded and his tone of voice add a mystical quality to the music.

I don't know, I'm slightly disappointed with this one. The Pnakotic Demos was awesome, this one falls a bit short comparing to that EP. Or maybe I need to to let it grow a bit more.
