Thank you, once again, Dimmy, for supplying the comedy.

I don't see how. The album rips the entire way through, and Nick Barker's drumming was off the chain.

I am simply bewitched by that photo. It is one of the funniest/most pathetic/most embarrassing things I have ever seen.

I couldn't agree more  Along with Immortal's photo shoot for 'At the heart of winter'. :D

Abrahababra, eh?

Perhaps they can get this guy to back to replace Vortex or Mustis or whoever the hell it is that left.

So 6 songs into Abrahadabra it's what one would expect from any Dimmu album, except I would say it's slightly stripped down even for the bare minimum. The riffing is straightforward chugging and unimaginative, and the music is very choral driven and it gets nauseating after "Dimmu Borgir". The drumming is just as dull as the riffing is, though he's fairly consistent in "Ritualist" with a few different fills. "Renewal" was the only real moment, as i was a throwback to their abrasive moments from the past, with a masterful solo. In fact, I'd have to wonder if I wasn't listening to Winds of Plague, there are a few solos scattered throughout the songs, but overall ithe album is nothing you haven't heard before.

Yeah, the constant chorus can get a little grating.

So far it seems like Death Cult Armageddon part 2. This is definately the poppiest stuff I've heard from them yet. A lot more straightforward than any of their other stuff too.

EDIT: The Ritualist made me literally pull a Picard-style facepalm. They kicked out Vortex, and replaced him with THAT???

There's an exclusive hot topic deal.

Sad to see Enslaved are supporting them on tour

I'm listening to this on myspace and cringing at the woman trying to pull her best vortex impression.

Also Shagrath's vocals are completely shit. Does he actually do anything else in the band?

Also the Ritualist is full of sub-IX Equilibrium guitar leads and pinch harmonics. God this band suck.

"Death Cult Armageddon Part 2" makes me a bit hopeful, since I really enjoyed that album for what it was. But that was mainly because of Vortex. And since he is not on this album my expectations are still very, very low.

They're definitely a little lower tuned I noticed that, and as for the music the band can't do much more with their formula. They've tried everything it's just Limbonic Art and Emperor performed the style better.

To be honest, it's more like Death Cult Armageddon's little brother who secretly sings and dances to old Michael Jackson tunes in his room while everyone's asleep. It's poppy as shit. I'm not sure what to think of it, to be honest.

LA and Emperor were in a different league when it came to writing the music.

Man! there are a buch of retards on this forum (not speaking og you, ut some of the posts in this thread) Snowy have said in his own words in different interviews why he quit, and it was not because of some stupid pictures. The "womman" sings on two tracks, the rest of the clean vocals are by Snowy Shaw. Agnete got a really cool voice and sings for two other norwegian bands, she does not try to sound like Vortex. Shagrath plays keys and writes music. But i agree that he sounds weaker than before. The new album is better than ISD, but i'm not blown away (yet). I feel it lacks deapt, and some of the songs are a bit booring.
