I was thinking about how many albums I've sold/given away over the last 15 years.

The below list is just what I can remember disposing of in the last few years. A couple of them I regret.

Here's a run down:

Aborted - 2 albums

Anthrax - 1 album (WCFYA - rubbish)

Artillery - 1 album (made surplus by acquisition of boxset)

Bloodbath - 1 album swapped it for something else. Regret getting rid of it.

Caliban - 1 album

Cannibal Corpse - 1 album (newer one - yawn)

Children of Bodom - 1 album (Hatecrew)

Darkthrone - 1 album

Deicide - 1 album (self titled and only because Blaspherion is the most irritating song ever written - even worse than Limp Bizkit)

Death - 2 albums (going through a period where I didn't listen to music due to absolutely no time - big mistake)

Dismember - 5 albums - refer to Death. I regret getting 2 of them.

Dissection - 1 album

Emperor - two albums - they just didn't click.

Entombed - 3 albums - refer to Death/Dismember - was a mistake

Fear Factory - 1 album (Concrete)

Hatebreed - 1 album

Impaled Nazarene - 1 album

In Flames - 3 albums (all post Colony)

Judas Priest - 2 albums

Lord - 1 album

Napalm Death - 4 albums

Machine Head - 2 albums - Hellalive and Through the Ashes of Empire

Mayhem - 1 album

Megadeth - 1 album (Risk)

Metallica - 2 albums (Load and Black)

Morbid Angel - 1 album (Heretic)

Meshuggah - 1 album (Nothing - fuck was it bad)

Napalm Death - 4 albums. So tried to like them.

Nile - 4 albums. Also tried very hard to like them.

Nuclear Assault - 1 crap live album

Nunslaughter - 1 album

Opeth - 2 albums (Damnation and Deliverance)

Rotting Christ - 1 album - CD cracked.

Psycroptic - 3 albums - boring stuff

Sepultura - 2 albums (Schizophrenia (yawn) and Roots)

Shadows Fall - 2 more modern albums.

Skinless - 2 albums - great live but boring to listen.

Soilwork - 3 albums - regret getting rid of Natural Born Chaos

Stamping Ground - 1 album

The Haunted - 1 album (Versus - holy crap it was bad)

Vision of Disorder - 1 album (regret getting rid of Imprint - good harcore album)

Testament - 3 later albums

Trivium - 1 album that I got for free while I was a radio presenter

Vital Remains - 2 albums

Witchery - 1 album - boring.

Probably another couple of dozen including stuff from Grind bands/obscure Death Metal whose names I can't even remember as well as alternative rock stuff ala Nirvana, RATM, System of a Down etc and compilations.

It also doesn't include stuff I had copied and threw out -(more obscure Death Metal).

So I've probably got rid of more CD's than most people own in a lifetime.

None, ever. Had quite a few stolen or friends failed to return, however.

Death is incapable of sucking.

I don't think I ever sold an album or gave it to someone. I never let someone borrow them either.

I gave away plenty (around 100 I think). I often buy used cds and replace them with the remastered versions every time I find one I liked at a decent price and give away the old editions to whoever wants it.

Hey, Milan, what's that stuff about not letting people borrow your cds?

Well, never was probably an exaggeration. I sometimes let my best friend borrow one, which only happens maybe once a year. But besides him I actually don't trust anyone with those things because I know that I'll freak out completely if that person loses my cd. A lot of people would be angry for a short while but eventually they'd be ok with it. Me, on the other hand, would probably harass that person (for weeks if necessary) until he/she gets me a new one and gives it to me on his/her knees begging for forgiveness. Yes, I'm that obsessed about this sort of things. Besides that I'm usually a nice guy.

Neither a borrower nor a lender be. Well, sometimes a borrower.

Rolling my eyes at a lot of what Dead1 gave away. Deicide worse than Limp Bizkit! Really?

I took about 10 CDs to a used store once and got 15$ for two by Porcupine Tree and one by Opeth. That's about it. Got probably 100 I wouldn't mind selling if there was a way to do it that didn't require effort.

I can think of only two that I got rid of, but don't remember how.

Metallica - Kill 'em All : Never did anything for me

Entombed - Clandestine : Listened to it a dozen times, but nothing clicked.

There are others which I have given away, but that's cos I bought the cds and wanted to get rid of the tapes. Gave them to my cousin brother who's not a metalhead, but likes Maiden.

No I sold them for $3 a pop.

I really tried liking Napalm Death. I love Bolt Thrower and Carcass so I thought I should like Napalm Death.

But in the end it was not to be.

I always found it to be quite boring. There's also a lot of riffs recycled from other bands in it. For example one riff is very much like one of the end riffs of Slayer's Necrophiliac.

I think it was only on Beneath The Remains that Sepultura actually released a good album.

You get points for all the Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Atheist, and EoS.

Did you like that one Opeth album?
