I never liked these guys as much as I should, Slowly we rot is definitely a heavier and doom-esque piece of older school death. While they're relatively tame compared to Suffocation, they're a good band nonetheless.

Yer on a roll here.
Love this album, Rotting Ways, Dead Silenece, Back To One, Killing Time... all excellent, though really the whole album is great.
This is how I like my Death Metal.

I got this album when it came out, and it is a great album indeed.
It is one of the first few death metal albums that I ever heard, and maybe because of that I like it that much.

This band is just pure death metal gold. They were the last of the old school classic dm bands for me to get into, but once it clicked they became one of my favorites of the bunch.

I'm just trying to think....has there ever been a band discussed here that you didn't compare to Suffocation?

I might be able to help with that, seeing as how nobody else seems to have claimed it backstage.

Though, I must warn you I think that album is relatively tame compared to Suffocation.

Oh noes, maybe someone else had better do it, then.

Obituary is brutal and intense in their own much BETTER way than Yawnofication.

Yeah with those heavy riffs, they're a good band and everthing but I'd like to see them pull a few more decent albums out.

argeuments? I don't hate Obituary, they just haven't done anything good since World Demise.
