I love this album, though I still haven't listened to it anywhere near enough...but your descriptions of the songs, such as Golem, were incredibly correspondent to my own listening experiences, and it really is an album that inexplicably delivers so much more than you think it will. Also, I'd never thought to compare late-80s-early-90s Voivod to Rush, but the comparison is most certainly valid, and this might just be their most Rush-y album...although the Torontonians have been through at least as many stylistic changes as Voivod, so it's hard to pin down. Either way, an awesome album indeed, and an excellent review thereof.

I love this record! One of the most listenable for me! But there is something about Nothingface as well that draws me just as much.
