I liked Pineapple Express. It was funny and made me wish I had a friend, even if it was just my drug dealer.

I think the biggest draw for me is, everything that is happening to them in the movie is happening while they are high on the best weed the have ever smoked. well, when I smoke "the best weed ever" doing crazy shit is the last thing I want to do. so I can't imagine being high as a kite and getting in a car chase where the drivers leg is stuck in the window.

my take on it anyway

Have you seen Fear and Loathing? Or are they just not as comparable as they appeared.

I saw it several years ago, but not lately.

so, even though I know it is a classic I can't remember a damn thing about it.

the guy I am moving in with has it on DVD, so I'll give it a watch sometime in the near future.

Fear and Loathing isn't really comparable to Pineapple Express. PA is more of a traditional comedy where Fear and Loathing is a lot weirder (although still funny, in small doses).

James Franco makes me want to watch something else. He reminds me of a stoner guy back from my dorm days. Can't help it.

I liked Pineapple Express, and not because I am a massive stoner (which I'm not). James Franco is a great comic actor, and worked well with whatever the chubby Jewish fellow is called. Plus, no Will Ferrell! How can you lose?

Bit odd to compare it to F&LiLV - because both have drugs? Let's also compare it to that godawful Daronofsky shite Requiem For OH GOD DRUGS ARE SO BAD.
