So who responded to the poll? A bunch of Slipknot, emo gothic, mallcore, slurpie serving, burger flipping pissants?

Because there is no way on God's green earth he's the best drummer or even the best drummer in the last 25 years.

This sort of shit is always subjective and thus pointless to read as anything but light entertainment.

If you had a bunch of real metal heads vote, it'd be more arguments as to why the guy of say Necrophagist got it but the guy of Nile or that guy from Hate Eternal didn't get voted in.

I also wanted to comment that most Slipknot fans don't seem to understand that when there are three people playing drums, you don't credit the drummer for the entire performance. Hence they always think Joey is playing the "drums"

also...Bill Bruford.

Strange that Stewart Copeland is on the list since The Police haven't realesed anything in the last 25 years.

Yes they do. Even if they never touched a drumstick, they do plenty, such as play guitar, write songs, sing, co-produce the albums (they do, it is not credited, ie, the producer won't let them credit themselves) and all that other shit. They played plenty of drums on the Disasterpieces DVD, on that note as well.

It's still too bad that they never used them more actively. The only song I remember hearing them in is The Blister Exists (I'm aware of the fact that there are a lot more songs in which they are being used besides that one). I just always had the feeling they could've done a lot more original things with those two percussionists.

Yeah, I totally agree.

I have the feeling the drumtech or some savvy engineer tunes their drum heads so that when they play the same drum patterns together, it creates a Perfect 5th, which forces them to play on top of each other way too much.
