Mors Principium Est - Inhumanity

Melodic Death Trash from Finland. It took me some time to get into this, because of the really disappointing harsh vocals (uniform, inexpressive, and buried in the mix).
Of course they are comparable to CoB but with some remarkable differences. The variety of keyboards are not so much in the forefront but rather used to create an atmosphere that perfectly serves the particular song. MPE also throw in a lot of traditional stuff in their extensive lead breaks, which are very reminiscent of Maiden and Iced Earth. Unlike CoB, Mors Principium Est stay away from Power- and Neoclassical influences.

Next:

The Crown - Crowned in Terror

Brutal mega-energy Trash, still musical. A perfect tightrope walk. A tad more aggressive energy would have made them sound pseudo-voilent like stupid HC or BM.

The Black Dahlia Murder - Unhallowed

i don't know why so many meta fans hate this band. they are much different from all the other cookie-cutter melodic death bands. they fucking rule!

yeah i especially love that bit around the 1:15 minute mark when the song suddenly turns kinda "happy". Funeral Thrist and Hymn For The Wretched are also killer.

Metallica - Master Of Puppets

*bows* one hell of an album and an incredible song.
METALLICA
FUCKING
RULE!

yeah, ruleD. but when someone is listening to Master and says they "rule" you know that that person means "ruled".

but in all honesty, i also liked ...AJFA and Metallica (the self-titled album). of course, i hated everything since.

1349 - Liberation

This album kicks so much ass. I can't believe I put off listening to 1349.
