Can you believe how cool he is? So humble and everything... Dark Tranquillity rules! And not only musically!

I have had a privilege to e-mail back'n'forth with Niklas for a couple of years. I can't say we are penpals (I only wish), but it was really cool he remembered about me and asked Ben to send his hello to me. Of course, I have caught up with the tour at their last stop in Detroit. Unfortunately, with a couple of local bands on the ticket and the tour having to fly out of JFK the next day they had to cut their set even shorter than 40 min. DT only played 6 songs for 30 min. My heart still aches.
After the show I ran into Martin Henriksson, the other guitarist and we chatted a bit. He noticed my super rare T-shirt that was only available through DT site, and asked me if I have been a lifelong fan. I told him that I exchanged a few messages with Niklas before. Martin got up on the bus, and Niklas came out no matter the fact he was tired, had a case of the flu going and probably had little time for me. We spoke for 20-30 min or so, about the band, the tour, his graphic design job, Gothenborg, Swedish people, etc. A couple of pretty drunk girls came up and wanted to do a picture with the band. I could bet the half of my house they really don't know much about the band. Never mind, Niklas got up on the bus, got everyone out and they took pictures with the girls 'cause they insisted and wouldn't let go. The humble nature and humility of that man just stunned me one more time.
People, please support this band. They are one of the most talented collectives around. It woudl be so easy to buy their CDs too, as you will love the music. A rare combination of levelheaded guys, talented musicians and humble individuals, and also NEVER a bad album. I know it is not saying much, but they are my all-time favorite band!

Totally agree with what everybody here has been saying. I love Dark Tranquillity even more now that i have seen them in concert. They were the only band to come down and shake hands and sign autographs after their set. They are truly amazing.

I have never heard anything bad about Dark Tranquility. I am proud to have bought all their full-lengths and I am confident they will never do what In Flames did.
