Although she's cute Charlotte Wessels voice for some reason doesn't do it for me. I think Delain tries so hard to be a Within Temptation clone but it fails miserably.

Great album. Far better than a fucking 40. Not brilliant, though, but easily a 70/100.

No. In fact my actual score was more along the lines of in the 30s but I decided to bump it up to be more in line with scores I have given so far for stuff I disliked as well as the score given to the 2nd album.

Wasn't Day For Ghosts the song a whole bunch of people thought was the first Nightwish song with Anette before they had introduced her? :lol:

I agree with the quote here. It's actually quite generous. However, I can't help but like "See Me in Shadow," especially when the Leaves Eyes vocalist comes in. I wish they let her contribute a bit more. That song catches her at her best. The second Delain album is MUCH better. If this Lucidity is crappy and unoriginal, I would say April Rain is at least enjoyable and unoriginal. It's a fun listen. Nothing less, and nothing more.
