Swedish deathmetalers Canopy will release their third full length album "MENHIR" on the 14th of August. The album will be available for digital download, as well as in a physical digipack.
The new album has seven tracks (feat. guest vocals by Mario Santos Ramos) and was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Hate Ammo, Ribspreader, 11th Hour).

An e-card for the new album is located at http://www.menhir.nu.

In addition, Canopy will be headlining the Mølla Music Festival in Gjerstad, Norway on the 21st of August together with a "surprise act"!
Previous years at Mølla has had artists such as Arcuturs, Mayhem and Ulver lead the festival.

Previous live performances can be seen on the Canopy youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/tsarc

Check out the e-card and let me know what you guys think!

The title track is the best loosely interpreted 'melodeath' track I've heard in many years.

6 tracks in and this is very solid stuff. Great diverse guitar work and the diversity isn't limited to the guitars. One thing I would have done differently is the vocals. Maybe a little more on the edge with more diversity would have added more influence on the music itself (not that the music itself isn't infectious enough because it definitely is). Although there are some harmonized vocals on some tracks and some Peter Tägtgren style vocals on "Inward Burst." The songs are almost immediate and reveal their strength almost right away.

EDIT: I have changed my opinion about the vocals. They indeed go very well with the music.

On second listen this is excellent. And the vocals are very good as well. I don't know why I thought in the first listen they could have been done differently when they are great the way they are. I suppose I wasn't paying my full attention to it. Everything is very well structured. I am impressed. I think I'll be ordering this.
