i like all guardian and all iced earth, but i just dont like guardian as much as everyone else does hmm...i think its becuase im more into thrash. Tim "The Ripprt" Owens is a great singer for priest and for iced earth maybe not as good halfod or barlow but hey he's good.

this is a little off topic but can someone tell me wat the best winters bane song is? iv tried heart of a killer but its nothin amazing, kinda same ol same ol, so wat is a really kick ass song by them, or do they even have any?

Iced Earth any damm day of the week, i dont hate Blind Guardian, but Hansi's voice i dont like that much, that music and stuff is freaking great, plus Iced Earth for me got me into power metal in the first place. Also as much as i love Ripper, please Barlow get your ass back in the band, haha Barlow was the best. Maybe if Iced Earth makes Something Wicked pt II w/ Ripper and it kicks my ass so bad, then i wouldnt have a problem with Ripper. :D

I don't mind Ripper at all. I prefer Barlow because the best Iced Earth has done was with him. Ripper is the sound they would have had had the first two singers been able to sing. Not bad at all, though. It's just hard to not view him as a Halford clone, you know? Barlow was original for the most part, although he could sound like Paul Stanley on occassion. Still, listen to his wail on their cover of "Number Of The Beast" and tell me that he can't do what Ripper does!!

I wonder what Matt looks like now? Short hair? Preppy dressed college boy? =)

I have the Heart Of A Killer reissue, and it kicked ass. Though at the moment I only remember Haunted House from the songs... but that was one of the best ones, and it gets me to sing along to it! :D \m/

I voted BG, because there are only two bands I wouldn't vote against in a contest with BG, and none of them is IE.
Otherwise, comparison between BG and IE is really pointless, they are way to different to each other to be compared. D&W have more in common, musically, to either IE or BG, but again it's hard to compare established bands with 7 studio albums, lives and many other releases to a band that only put out their second record.

have u not heard night of the stormrider? or horror show? i think horror show is awesoem and it was my first iced earth cd i ever bought, i bought alongside with dark sage so thats why dark saga doesnt compare, but still night of the stormrider is awesome along with horror show. but hey i almost forgot BURNT OFFERINGS, amazing.

I've heard everything by Iced Earth, I like it all, their newest CD the least, But I like BG and D&W waaaay more. For IE Something Wicked is my fav album, I love it, if all of IE albums hit me the way that one did IE would be higher on my list.
