Did you even read the review? Jesus.

I'm downloading this, I'm curious.

He probably didn't even hear it.

I respectfully disagree with this review. Tried it after all the good press it got, and well, not for me.

90?
Nonononononononononononononononononono....

If I could understand what some people saw in A7X's previous albums, this one's just plain crap.

15/100 and I played it twice just to make sure.

a7x + a member of Dream Theater sounds like a combination for the worst music ever but I might give a song or two a listen.

Holy shit, I opened this thread expecting a score between 20 and 60! But after reading the review I have to admit (although a bit shamefully) that I'm intrigued. I guess I'll have to check it out. Who knows, I might be surprised.

There are a few enjoyable, headbanging moments......however, it quickly becomes completely forgetable....definately not timeless music heavy metal really is. I keep hearing people saying "Iron Maiden influences"....really.......Steve Harris should be vomitting right now.

Hey yall, Tyler here. Just wanted to clarify something. This album is NOT a 90 album, nor would it be an album of the year quality album under normal circumstances. It is a high 70, low 80 AT BEST. HOWEVER! given the circumstances surrounding this album, I may have had a bit of a soft spot.listenh an open mind, its hard to deny that this is an emotionaly raw triubute for a fallen musician, someone who died WAY too early. There are some damn good songs on this album, and plenty of great moments to make this a memorable album. As such, it is going to be one of the albums that defines the year for me, and probably one of the first few albums I think of when I look back on this year. Because of that, I decided to give this album a better score than it deserves because, for me, it is one of the albums of the year for me, based on the quality, maturity, and impact of it. I advise you all to GIVE IT A CHANCE, A7X REALLY ISNT THAT BAD AT ALL!!!. Commercial doesn't always equal bad, and A7X is one of the few "mainstream" bands who aren't afraid to push the envelope a bit or be a little dangerous/controversial. Anyway, give this album a try, its pretty damn solid throughout, thoug it IS A GROWER!! so treat it as such!

So it's not a 90, but then you gave it 90? but it's really a high 70 or low 80's? So what score should you have really given it?

I wish I was enough of an internet pussy/dweeb to know what "troll harder" meant. At least Tyler still has the passion for music to think and write about it instead of just shooting off his holier-than-thou suck piece about other people's hard work. You don't have to agree, but be civil and try to contribute if you're gonna take up space. No one who's criticized his review has made even a modicum of legit musical argument as to why he might be wrong. There aren't enough metal brothers in the world for us to cannibalize each other. Go ahead - be smart; show us what you've got, but chill on the ad hominem shit.
