Ozzy should retire plain and simple.

"Ozzy split with Zakk last year for various reasons (the main one being his excessive drinking)."

Oh the irony of that one.

I honestly think it's slightly better than Black Rain. Although that's not exactly a compliment.

Agreed.

14 is a little bit harsh considering some pretty crappy albums got a 50 here. 35 sounds fairer.

Slight correction to your review: Zakk Wylde was on (the IMHO hugely underrated) No Rest For The Wicked. So, technically, this would be the first Zakk-less Ozzy album since The Ultimate Sin.

Anyway, I may give this album a fair listen someday. I'm certainly not expecting anything on par with Diary Of A Madman, No More Tears, or the aforementioned NRFTW. But it might still be worth a listen, since I actually liked Down To Earth (Black Rain, not so much).

Down to Earth had a few decent tracks and, had Scream ressembled it, I would have been happy with it especially since I'm not expecting Ozzy to release something as good as what he did from Blizzard of Ozz to No More Tears. Alas, this sounds like an even worse Black Rain which is not a good news at all.

Funny how Gus G was a legend in his own right and now that he's joined up with Ozzy, it almost is like he's stepped down from his role as a legit musician and artist.

I actually saw poor Gus on some late night show recently. Unbelievable how shitty the tone was because they had his rig turned down so low so Ozzy could dominate the mix and more than likely the key of the songs too.

What a shitfest this is.

I don't like the title track at all, but then this isn't that good an album, every time I try and get into it I end up changing to another CD.

Gus. G is kind of like a rent-a-guitarist isn't he? Doesn't surprise me he landed with Ozzy.

A 50. some good moments here & there, but nothing really outstanding. Boring and uninteresting.

That's what I thought. Not surprisingly Addy praises him.
