Other than the computer singing, what aspects of Focus did you think were important enough to the Cynic sound that you carried them over to Traced in Air?

A more "serious" question, I suppose.

In the demo stage, Cynic was a Death metal band, but since then have moved farther and farther away from that style. To what do they attribute the shift in style?

How about the generic stuff like what inspires their incredible creativity? Favorite albums. Favorite movies. What is the general writing process.

And of course are they writing new material and if not when!

Fuck those questions. They've answered those a million times.

Why don't people ask about shit they really care about? No one wonders if they have a vault full of unreleased material, for instance, and whether or not they plan to release any of it? Interviewers hardly ever ask questions like that.
