What are some album titles/themes that you can honestly say haven't been touched upon? What style of metal do you think they'd be best explored in, and do you think it's likely a band will touch on the subject in the future?

Female genital mutilation. When I'm in a grindcore band, I will write an entire song about it because no one probably else will.

Hidden sexual encounters between an octopus and some cats. I'm sure there's no songs about that. A conceptual album about it will be great.

I think Kevin Gilbert's The Shaming of the True is about the recording industry, so that's pretty close.

Writing a power metal album that is not about dragons, wizards, swords and/or unicorns is something that's so radical its release could spawn a new French Revolution.

There should be more non-power metal about dragons and wizards and swords, too.

I've never heard a single metal song about war, come to think of it. Surely that's an area ripe for lyrical plunder?
