And maybe they were one of the reasons, that classic thrash metal got popular again during the last years.

I mean, today we can choose between dozens of new thrash bands, and the old are also back again, but in 2005, when the first BfmV came out, there weren't that many popular (new) thrash bands.
Umm wow. The fact that shit bands like Trivium and BFMV incorporated more soloes into their music has less to do with creating the thrash revival than it does them hopping on the thrash revival bandwagon. Municipal Waste was doing it back in 2003 for example so get the fuck out with that shit.

yeah and Municipal Waste were no good then either.

What sucks though is that the Crowbar review thread should be longer then this.

Crowbar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BFMV

I can explain why In Flames sucks if you like.

Eh I've heard it all over the past 10 years of being a fan because it's the cool thing to do in the " kvlt " metal community to bash the band. I'm sure I already know why you think they suck.

I can understand if you don't like what they do but to say that they " suck " is pretty silly. That's my only problem with your opinion.

If he's arguing that he'd rather listen to BFMV than In Flames, I'm pretty sure he's not concerned with being kvlt...maybe it's because they don't make good music anymore.

Sorry, but Soundtrack To Your Escape was better than anything Bullet For My Lamentine have ever done.

I don't think Metalwarrior has a point because thrash revival fans and BFMV fans tend to not be the same people.

Shogun was surprisingly one of the best metal albums of 2008 imo.

Loved Shogun and still love it no matter how negative and critical people are of Trivium I still like them.

Your nuts, "A Sense of purpose" although not In Flames best album is a very solid release and has some very engaging songs.
March to The Shore and Alias just to name the two that come to mind.

I still haven't listened to The Crusade for some reason. I should get onto that.

I prefer Shogun (which isn't really metalcore except maybe for the vocal style) and Ascendancy over The Crusade.

I really love the whole CD. In Flames just has a way of keeping what they do fresh, and it's one of my favorites to listen to of theirs. Disconnected and Drenched in Fear come to mind as my favs. :)

Yes, and that's a very low blow for BFMV because even in all my fanboy glory I don't like STYE.

That was part of his statement but it also included him saying that In Flames has always sucked.

Right you are.

There's really no point in me trying to explain to you why I feel the way I do about IF, it's not like it'd change anyone's mind.

I'm not gonna say you have shitty taste or anything either since you've got a MaSu album cover as your avatar :dio:

I don't get why anyone could listen to any of the popular metalcore bands listed in this thread for any other reason than mind-numbing laziness. With just a little effort you can find thousands of bands that are doing the same but with more creativity, credibility and sheer balls. Why do you insist on giving these douches second, third, fourth etc. shots when you know they'll do exactly what the fads instruct them to do?

KsE are not bad (not good either for that matter) but every other mallcore band sucks greatly... Well, those I dared listen to anyway.

Wicked intro on that song. Your allowed not to like it, but whoever says there's no creativity here are damn def or simply does so in bad faith.

Yeah, good intro I agree.

When the vocals come in it starts to unravel very quickly though, and I couldn't make it to the end.
