Why is Burzum such an ironic hipster icon now? I would imagine that a Burzum shirt would take up the space needed for another Might Morphin' Power Rangers shirt in their wardrobe or something.

A good question, I'm not quite sure why, maybe because of the fact he killed Euronymous? Musically, I find it hard to believe they understand/like/appreciate Varg's work.

I find it rather disturbing that this kind of hate happens when, god forbid, a black person is seen listening to metal. I mean, it's not like one of Death Metal's finest drummers

Hipsters are people too. There's a fair chance that the person in that picture actually listens to and enjoys Burzum; why take the piss because he's eccentrically dressed?
