When I found out last Sunday, it hadn't quite sunk in. Then on Monday I started playing Last in Line and when the title track came on I actually cried a bit. He was a fucking legend, a metal god, utterly irreplaceable and no ego in sight.

I remember a few years ago I bought the Holy Diver cd which had that interview after the album tracks, and I found it quite amusing how much he was stressing that it wasn't a solo album, that everyone in the band was just as relevant as he was and I my admiration for the man increased since here was a guy who no one would bat an eyelid if he had an attitude considering how integral and important he was to the metal scene as a whole.

The thing is aside from being an amazing musician, he was also an great human being, where even in interviews he was endearing and very well spoken. Remember the Metal: A Headbanger's Journey interviews?

So Rest In Peace Ronnie James Dio, your music and voice will never be forgotten.

The papers that bothered acknowledging it here took a similar ''hur dur subcultures are amusing to us serious people'' angle, but they did come over as more respectful than that.

I wanted to email the prick, but his address isn't listed (smart!), so I created an account so could post my displeasure. I had to say something somewhere the dickface might actually see it.

Wait 'til some Pop sensation dies, then write a disrespectful obituary. We missed a trick when Jacko died, an editorial about how lame he was compared to Metal heroes would have been great.

These are the same people who picket at the funerals of soliders who died in Iraq.

Surprisingly, the largest advocates for equality for homosexuals is the Westboro Baptist Church. They feel that what is worse than condemning homosexuals to hell for sodomy is hypocritically saying they're equal while striving to deny them the right to marriage and adopt children.

I got to know about this group only after reading somewhere that they were going to picket Dio's funeral. Read a little more about them and to say they're bizzare or weird is an understatement. I mean, c'mon, US president Obama is the Antichrist ? And all tragedies that happen are linked to homosexuality? Weirdos.
