He'll be there until they have more sales issues, personality conflicts, and then he'll quit again. Then they'll hire John Bush and write a deathcore album, forever cementing their legacy in the metal world

Well, sounds like it might be different this time.

I'm definitely all for.

Bring on the studio album!

Not really? Can't wait to hear him sing songs he had no input in writing just like the Greatest Hits album he last sung on.

Anthrax has always been one of my favorites and I'll always have a soft spot for them, but man...they really should have broken up at least 10 years ago. I thought Volume 8 was decent, but We've Come For You All was rather poor. Then they've spent the time since rehashing the old days either by re-recording old songs with John Bush or trying to reunite the classic lineup.

Ironically, I'd be okay with that lineup touring once in awhile so long as those guys have fun doing it. But I don't think they have that much good new material in them anymore.

The John Bush project really should have just used a different band name, the music was different enough anyhow. Then they could have had these periodic singer switches without causing a collective eyeroll.

Look, you never know.

Belladonna is (by a really, really long way) the best singer AND the most charismatic front-man the band has ever worked with.

Maybe, just maybe, if they scrap the stuff they've been working on and start from scratch with Belladonna's input, this could really be something. I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Stranger things have happened than a metal band releasing a great album 20 years after the last one.

If by input you mean his vocals then you might like it. But honestly he won't be getting to help rewrite or contribute artistically at all to this album.

Yeah, that's what I've heard too.

I was just saying that on the very unlikely chance that they scrap that material and start again with Joey, we might have something here.

What I don't understand is why Anthrax doesn't just have both Belladonna and Bush? They could have Belladonna do the faster/thrashier songs and Bush do the slower/grungier songs. And then we'll get the best of both worlds!

Yeah and maybe one could rap and the other do emo screams.
