I can't say anything more than the metal community has lost a legend. I grew up listening to Dio, and its a shame that he had to go so soon, sixty seven years young and its already over.. The man will live on in all of his music..

He was one of the most important persons of metal. I'm sad I couldn't get a chance to see him live, and they were coming here this summer. What a terrible day for metal music.

R.I.P Dio. You will be missed a lot.

Probably the greatest heavy metal vocalist to ever live and someone who had an enormous impact on everything that is metal. I really regret never having the chance to see him live. RIP Ronnie James Dio :dio:

I realize that I have not been around for a little while but I really felt compelled to make a remark about the loss of Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie Dio's death marked the first time that I literally grieved for someone I didn't personally know. The manner in which he died was just terrible. I sat here during my off time just listening to Rainbow, Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his solo stuff everyday for about a week after I learned of his passing. I listened as I read the outpouring of heartfelt comments from all over the music world in the news and it made me realize just how influential he was and how many lives/careers he touched. Ronnie James Dio will be missed.

I found on RJD's webpage that you can make a donation to the RJD cancer fund and you get a great gift pack in return. I thought that some of you may be interested so check it out here:
