David Miliband is charismatic?

Not that I've seen. Broon has the figure of authority thing going strong for him, however much he tries to wreck it with throat wobbles and creepy inappropriate grins. If Labour can rally their base (who like Broon, no?) and cling to power, that return to moral purpose may well happen anyways - I'm not convinced that a single term out of office will cleanse them of the last 13 years. Either they'll be able to get over it gradually whilst still in power, and any new MPs replacing the old ones will be of the Cruddas wing, or they need to be replaced by the Libs as the opposition, in which case all bets are off, as PR will split Labour.
Of course, this is all assuming that the current polls are wrong and ignoring the diabolical results. Won't they return a Lab majority according to the current FPTP system, despite coming third in terms of votes? I predict Broon trying to push AV through, then, faced with righteous public anger, and I hope Cleggerino sticks to his guns for PR, although Cameron will see that as a lesser evil. We may be back where we started.

Milliband charismatic? Yeah, I think that put in the kind of situation I described, i.e. as the leader of the opposition, I can see him dealing Cameron a good pwning or two. (David, not Ed).
Not that I'm putting any eggs into his basket specifically... I just plucked him out the air as an example of how a labour resurgence could work.
Labour rallying their base would be nice for, say, me. But in the environment we are in where the Cleggmaster General can get called a Nazi for not abusing some German children when he had the chance, it would be a way to ensure they DON'T hang on to power.
Does Clegg really believe in PR though? I thought he had gone to something much more moderate like STV. Not that I really know what the Lib Dems are up to.
On a lighter note, whilst working at the West Yorkshire Playhouse last night, my fiance served Ed Balls an ice cream. He was there to see his daughter in a play. A brush with greatness, indeed.
