some good bands, some shit bands, but it doesn't get much better than this in Canada.

for those too lazy to click, some bands are:

Megadeth
Slayer
Testament
Korn
Rob Zombie
High on Fire
Alice Cooper
Lamb of God
Mastodon
Anvil
3 Inches of Blood
Alexisonfire
Avenged Sevenfold
Fear Factory
Hatebreed
Kataklysm
Shadows Fall

+ a few more I don't care to mention

is it a good line-up?

any canucks planning on attending? Brahm?

Seems pretty sweet to me (other than bands I have deleted). Wish it was in my home town!

That's a pretty horrible line-up, imo. The only remotely interesting bands are Slayer, Megadeth, Anvil and Testament. Alice Cooper I'd see just because it's Alice Cooper. I wouldn't spend my money on it since I'm in no desperate need to see any of those bands (seeing Testament once was enough), but rather save up and go to a European fest or something like Maryland Deathfest. Plus a festivals with those sorts of line-ups tend to attract morons like flies to shit. Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, Korn, Alexisonfire? Good lawd  Why must most North American metal fests be like this?

well, money is not really a problem for me so paying to see those shittier bands is not a big deal. Plus since it's in Montreal, there is lots of other things to do on st. Catherines street while not at the festival.

It's the closest thing to a vacation I'll get anyway.

Not particularly. They started off half decent, but haven't come up with anything all that great since Sorcery. Saw them live once already like seven years ago and they weren't much more impressive than on cd by that point, so I wouldn't spend my money on them again. Especially since they haven't exactly gotten better since then, and not with a line-up like this one.

@Devoted, yeah there are some pretty cool metal shops and such on St. Catherine's. There was this one metal shop I used to go to when I was down there more often...can't remember for the life of me what the name was, but they had a lot of cool band shirts. Btw, apparently there is some weird new medieval restaurant (not medieval times) with mead? Have you ever been there/heard of it? That's all I know is that they serve mead lol, but from my friend's description it sounds really cool.

I like how Korn is billed ahead of Alice Cooper.

This world, sometimes.

I gotta agree. The lineup does look mediocre. It would be cool to see Testament. I can't imagine enjoying a slayer show. Megadeth will probably play a bunch of songs that are mediocre.

Korn headlines the sunday while Alice Cooper supports the saturday.

kinda stupid I know, but i'm probably not going to day 2, so it doesn't bother me.

I think what you meant to say about Megadeth and Slayer is really about Testament.

High on Fire, Anvil, Mastodon, Cooper, Zombie, Slayer, Deth would all be worth seeing. I know you hate HoF but they put on a dman good live show.
