For me:

Alexisonfire - This Could Be Anywhere in the World. Most of their other stuff is too "fun" and doesn't have teh emotions that this one does.

Sikth - Bland Street Bloom. Not many/none of their others have that epic catchy chorus that keeps things together.

Fall of Troy - FCPREMIX. Their other songs are like this but either more annoying, not catchy, or in general not as good.

Victims Family - Son of a Bastard. They should do more jazz rock and less spazz punk.

Russian Circles - Death Rides a Horse. This song is like ROCK and their others are kinda predictable and sleepy.

Jag Panzer - Symphony of Terror. I like their other stuff but the chorus of this one gives it at least +10 points over other songs of theirs I've heard.

Immortal - In My Kingdom Cold. The line "unending grimness" makes me really happy.

Dredg - Ireland. They've probably got about eight songs over their four albums that are this good, but this was the first one to come to mind.

And SiKth have more than one good song! They don't have more than one bad song, if any!

Blind Guardian - Bard's Song

Therion - To Mega Therion live. When I've heard this song simply on cd in the past, I never really got into it very much or any other Therion for that matter. But a few Wackens ago some friends of mine wanted to go see Therion so I went with them, and I gotta say that this is a really powerful live song. Of course the energy from the crowd helps a lot, too.

Ihsahn - The Pain Is Still Mine

Operation Winter Mist - I'm not sure if they count since, unlike the other bands I've mentioned so far, I actually like all of this band's material even though they aren't a favourite. I have a huge obsession with their song Battleflag in comparison to all their other stuff.

Heidevolk - Hulde Aan De Kastelein, Sachsenland and Vulgaris Magistralis

I love it!

Yeah this too. I was gonna say Judas Priest - Beyond the Realms of Death but people would call me a fag and I like a lot of their other songs but that one reaches super levels of "oh shit!"

Funny how you choose their most overplayed song. I'm actually kinda sick of hearing that one.

Where Eagles Dare is their best, imo.

Also, there are better Fall Of Troy songs than FCPREMIX, which is also pretty overplayed. Act One, Scene One and The Ho[ ]ly Tape... being two of them... and I only have Doppelganger, so I can't speak for the rest of their stuff, although I've heard it kinda sucks.

I don't think I have bands who I only like one or two songs of. It's generally much more of 'I like' or 'I don't like' thing for me with bands.

Judas Preist is actually one of these bands for me. I can't think of any song by them I really like other than Love Bites.

Doesn't have to be popular bands but links to the songs are nice if it's something most people wouldn't have heard.

@lotn: Yeah lots of the ones I chose are like the bands' hit singles but I never listen to the radio or anything that would overplay a song. They're just the ones that've jumped out at me and keep me trying to listen to full albums over and over again, but then I'm disappointed by all the other songs not being as good :[

Skinless - The Optimist - probably more so due to the intro sample and first riff. Basically Brutal Death Metal. Rest of the ablum gets repetitive. Great band live though.

Psycroptic - <insert song title here>. Technical Death Metal. One song is good, two or more songs gets boring. They're all kinda collections of random riffs.

Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengeance (I sold the album as I have the a cover version on an Iced Earth covers album).

Nile - Lashed to the Slave Stick, Unas Slayer of the Gods, the bit in Black Seeds of Vengeance where they repeat the song title.

Dismember - Bred for War, Misanthropic. It's wierd cause these guys have a good recipe but seem to fail in delivery and release albums thatare all very samey and unfortunately bland. I had most of their collection yet only these two songs stuck.

Emperor - In The Wordless Chamber - only Emperor song I like and probably cause it has a whole wall of noise sound that is occassionally interrupted by what sounds like hunting horns.

I'm sure there's others...

Don't get me wrong, Iron Maiden are my favourite band of all time.

Judas Priest on the other hand don't rate too highly.

Personal preference and all that.
