Just listened to the entire album at MySpace.com. Overall, not bad. It's kind of interesting hearing three Rage Against The Machine musicians (a rap-metal band!) utilizing their styles to play 70s style rock. Chris Cornell's vocals also reak of that kind of nostalgia.

Anybody else listened to this yet?

Did they write a new song for this one or are they just recycling the one they decided to write for the first outing?

Great album.

Boy, this must really be "The Year Of Disappointing Lead Singles" for most people. First everybody complained about Queens Of The Stone Age's Little Sister for being too poppy (seriously, how was it more "poppy" than any of their other songs?). Then everybody complained about Nile's latest "single" (ie. their free song for download about two months ago). And now everybody complains about Audioslave's single "Be Yourself." Frankly, I don't really see anything wrong with it. I think it's a pretty decent song. Though Out of Exile itself should've been the lead single IMO.

Hey, Little Sister is a good song.

But this album is somewhat like a flaming bag of dogshit hurled through your bedroom window at 3 AM when you were expecting merely a bag of dogshit.

Not bad. Might be better than their first but i've yet to decide for sure.

You know, just because I have a strongly held opinion on both the new album and Audioslave in general doesn't make your opinion any less valid.

Just give a good reason for not liking them and you're home free.

I don't like them because they don't sound half as good as either RATM or Soundgarden... I don't like them because they sound retro without sounding cool... I don't like them because they sound more like Creed meets Lynyrd Skynyrd than like The Stooges meets Muse... I don't like them because Cornell fucking sounds old when he was awesome before joining them... finally, i don't like them because MTV does :evil:

I don't like them because the songwriting is conceptually bankrupt and thieves liberally from early seventies straightforward rock n' roll.

I don't like them because Cornell's voice has become utterly generic and pleasantly deep.

I don't like them because the riffs are lifeless as fuck: it's like someone gave Tom Morello some Special K.

I don't like them because the lyrics are the most inane shit ever to be written.

I don't like them because their debut was so profoundly boring that it made me wish I was listening to Dream Theater.

I don't like them because the new album is somehow MORE boring, and somehow much, much more exasperating.

Enough reasons for ya?
