Which music do you work out to? Which bands? Rammstein used to be a winner in the powerlifting-days even though I never liked outside of practice. Now, here's a list of the bands I like to put on when lifting weights and during intense runs:

Converge
Exodus
Megadeth
Slayer
The Batallion
Destroyer 666

I don't listen to music when I work out (which is a rare occasion, at best), I usually just put in a DVD or turn the TV on and find something I don't hate.

When I was in training for the British Olympic Gymnastics team, I listened to a lot of Myrkskog.

Hatebreed

Perseverance against all opposition
crushing all limitations
pure strength through solitude, discipline and determination.

This though guy shit doesn't mean anything unless you're 14 years old but while working out they actually become empowering. Try it.

I don't listen to music while working out, because I believe that music only distracts your concentration.

I just hear the music they have playing at the gym. I don't care about listening to my own stuff.

I work out in my garage, and I prefer quiet and solitude.
Got @405 lbs. worth of iron, a really good Olympic style bench, good bars, etc. and a 80 lb (I believe) heavy bag for cardio and conditioning.
That's all I need. Working out at home is cool because, IMMEDIATELY it's straight to the blender... no getting in the car and hauling your ass through traffic, and no paying $6 for a protein drink that I can make at home for a fraction of the cost.

I feel like I get my best exercise when I down a can of tuna about 2 hours before going to the gym. Is it bad if I get my protein in before a work out?
