So I went to a club about a month and a half ago, and I've become a dancing fool. I'm obsessed with electro/house/dirty house ( Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrPMXmcCB6I or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK3jGjiaLho )... Anything that's bangin'. I've been listening to non stop electro for a few weeks now and have a huge collection.


It's just... The shit is so addicting. It's like hypnotic, it makes me want to move, and most of all, chicks love it and I have no problem getting a lady, or two, or three, to come out dancing with me as opposed to going to a metal show.

I might trade in my colors, boys.

Basically I need to be beaten back to my senses.

Everyone goes through a period where they get a little bored with metal and listen to something else for a while. The way to get around it is to be awesome like me and listen to lots of different things, all the time.

You'll get over it, in the meantime listen to Industrial Metal. Here's two suggestions:

The 'stop being a gay' route is pretty tempting. I'm sitting here rocking out to old High On Fire here, and the thought of someone preferring some dance shit to that is kerrazy. At least have taste and listen to Throbbing Gristle or Skinny Puppy or Venetian Snares rather than that club nonsense.

Some EBM is downright badass, but, like you said, fuck that club shit; it's modern day disco.

Eater of Birds is da shit. I like Gin, but it reminds me of like Tool going black metal. Not bad at all.
