Is it a name like Metal Ness, or is it like "coolness" but with cool replaced by METAL?

It's Ness from the old nintendo games right?

I figure it's either Metal-ness as in "the quantity and/or quality of Metal" or he's just a fan of Earthbound.

Wow. Talk about coincidence. I was just posting "Earthbound is the greatest SNES game ever" a couple minutes ago. Yes, I am a big Earthbound fan.
I used to have it say NESS, but I forgot the password for that account. Instead of going through the 'forgot password' crap, I decided to just make a new account.

The story is supposed to be that the dude that created the game watched some fucked up porno when he was small and it messed about with him a little. The whole fight scene from start to finish is messed up in general :|.
