So I voted before I read the rest of the thread. I don't think it deserves a "classic review" but I think it's an awesome album and will be a classic one day, just not for this site.

I wouldn't mind it being a classic review since it is a rock album and other rock albums have gotten classics here, like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and whatever. I guess you could say those bands influenced metal but even bands that are more modern and haven't had much influence on metal like Refused have gotten classic reviews. It's not 10 years old though and I haven't actually heard it so don't have much of an opinion. Seven Nation army has a nice riff.

Led Zep have never gotten a classic here, and saying that the bloody White Stripes should get a classic because Pink Floyd did is ridiculous. Refused has had plenty of influence on metal, metalcore and so on, just because you hate Shape Of Punk To Come for no good reason doesn't mean they're suddenly on an even keel with WS. Grrr.

I don't hear a whole lot of Refused in anything more metal than Thrice tbh. Sounds like someone is biased against White Stripes. They are pretty iconic as far as rock from the 00s goes

The White stripes are decent enough for what they are, I suppose, but framing this question in any way other than rhetorically is just plain wrong for this site; too many true metal classics that deserve the honor for this to even be considered.
And if we are talking about rock bands, there are Thin Lizzy, Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, (early) Scorpions, BOC, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Who, Queen, Nugent (love him or hate him, Cat Scratch Fever, Free For All are classic worthy albums before the White Stripes any day of the week)... the list goes on.

There's stuff I'd say should be classic before White Stripes but whatever. Dudes have opinions. Hendrix doesn't have any reviews here and he like invented the electric guitar.

Are You Experienced definitely deserves classic status.
It meets all the requirements, without a doubt.

Its wiser to concentrate on metal bands, as some have said. Many classics still need to be reviewed...

Yes, but on a few years, and also as someone said already, there is still a lot of classics out there that deserve to be reviewed.

That there are four votes in favour for this is a bit like finding that a fairly significant percentage of the people where you live voted BNP. :lame:
