Well, dis-order.com is dutch, so I guess it should be the same as "over there".

They don't seem to have it in though, even though it says the 14th..

Oh well, I'm quite curious how it will sound!

Certainly looking out for it!

In other news, not quite metal, but Melissa Auf de Maur has another album out this year. Last was more than decent, and the first song released is a bit different, but still good stuff:

I'm listening to the new Nokturnal Mortum now and it is indeed very good. I get a Lunar Poetry/Goat Horns vibe from it and that's awesome.

I've only heard the title track off their Myspace, but was quite impressed nonetheless. So much variation in one track. The only gripe is that the cover art reminds me of something out of World of Shitcraft, which is never a good thing.

Reissue of a previous Obscura album. THeir last one was pretty interesting and I'd never heard of them before, so I might review this. Apparently it's way more brutal than tech.

hopefully..their last album was pretty boring, lots of running up and down on scales and noodling but no substance. I wonder if it'll be any good

I could say something snide about those deathcore bands you listen to, with their dry, emotionless, chugga-chugga shtick, but I'll refrain from doing so.

Anyways, Borknagar apparently have a new one out, called Universal:

And they still have Vintersorg.

I'd like to hear some opinions on that latest Borknagar before spending cash on it. Vintersorg's vocals make me cringe.

I dunno what some people have against Vintersorg.

However, now that I.C.S Vortex is out of Dimmu Borgir, he should totally hook up with Borknagar again. I do prefer him to Vintersorg.

I'm gonna have to say FUCK VINTERSORG here. Borknagar was one of my favorite bands. Then he came....

I'd say the loser here is the one who can't let go of Mudvayne and KoRn, and who's easily impressed by a band's weaker output.

Now don't you start waving that star-spangled banner at me, woman. The Garm era was pimpin', and the ICS Vortex era wasn't so bad either. The Vintersorg era, on the other hand, is replete with weak production and some of the most annoying clean vocals ever. NOT what I'm looking for in a Borknagar album.

Glorious. In about twenty years, they'll have actually learned how to play real death metal.

derp

"Some of the most annoying clean vocals ever"??? Are you done trolling yet? He's not my favorite, but seriously, you're either trolling, or you're just stupid.

Also, Empiricism is still awesome, no matter how much you butthurt morons protest. "The Genuine Pulse" is one of the best Borknagar tracks.

Or you're a Floridian hillbilly whose musical tastes are sub-standard.

Think about this for a second:

"Floridian" ... "hillbilly"

You're saying Florida has hills? Looks like you really are stupid.

I'm really looking forward to the sequel to Ziltoid. Should be out this year... apparently along with 2 other albums. Devin Townsend is insane. How many albums can he release in one year?

Darkthrone - Circle The Wagons

Horrible album title, but I'm hoping for relatively good things.
