I'm not crazy about Weekend, Easy Fight Rambling, or Celebration, and Endless Rain goes on for too long, but besides that, this is a great album.

I think this album has MOST of their best songs. This rates closer to a 96/100 for me. Such a brilliant album by one of the best bands ever. This ranks just behind Art of Life for me. And yes, a great place to start for X Japan virgins.

Does anybody else think Endless Rain sounds a little to much like November Rain?

Thank you for this review btw.

A ninety is probably the VERY lowest score that this album deserves, and too be honest, I almost scored it a lot higher. But with this particular album, my opinion wavers back and forth a lot for whatever reason. Last week, for example, I probably would've given this closer to a 94. A 96 is a bit up there for me, but reasonable; X is just such a fantastic band. Glad you like the review. :D

I think this guy is so flabbergasted by how amazing this band is that he calls bullshit. But I can assure you, goodsir maymonramzgoshadeh (hooray for copy / paste), X Japan is very much for real!

Listening to this now, and I take back not being crazy about Week End. That solo section is absolute joy.
