Best of new Satyricon?

What's your opinion on this? Personally I have a hard time choosing, all three seem to have an equal amount of outstanding and crap tracks. N,D is a bit weaker, but The Pentagram Burns is one of my all-time favourite Satyricon songs.

Volcano. Felt like a rocked-up version of Rebel E, whilst Now Diabolica was a bit too rigid and deliberate (great drumming, but...). Age O'Nero is good, but feels like a mixture of the previous two rather than a real step forwards. Looking forwards to their new direction!

Volcano by far. I personally think that's their best album. All the tracks stand out to me and the black and roll was very badass. Great CD to have while driving around.

man I think all 3 are great albums. tough decision. I might have to go with the age of nero though, but tough decision.

It's a pretty solid album. There's just a few tracks that don't really ever go anywhere and get a bit stale. I thought it was a pretty novel idea, though.

I guess I'd have to say Now, Diabolical. My band actually does a cover of K.I.N.G. :lol:

It's a fun song.

I usually end up thinking Now, Diabolical is the best after I listen to it just because it seems to have more standout songs.

Instead of making a new topic I thought I'd post here.

Satyricon is easily rising among the ranks as one of my top favorite metal bands of all time. These guys just have amazingly crushing riffs, and Frost just manages to keep shit brutal the whole time... Yet so simple. I love everything by these guys from Dark Medieval times to The Age of Nero. They just can't do any wrong at all.

I dunno why I had to say that, maybe it's because I've spent the morning cleaning to them. lol.

No shit man...the past couple months I've listened to Satyricon so much. Just a truly great metal band.

Dark Medieval Times and The Shadowthrone (hell, even Vikingland has a cool vibe to it) are 10/10, the rest are good to very good, but, are forever destined to live in the shadow of those two exemplary albums.

Indeed, altough I could'nt give a rat's ass about the newer Satyricon.
