This just in: The series finale of Battlestar Galactica is fucking awful and one of the worst things I've ever seen.

Why does Arrested Development make me laugh so obnoxiously yet everyone else I know just stares at it dumbfounded?

Because their sense of humour sucks? It is the funniest show of all time. I rewatch episodes for the seventh or eighth time and can't stop laughing.

exact same thing here.

I use to watch it and people just thought it was stupid. I did convert my dad though.

Same thing happening now with The Office. I watch it, laugh, and everybody else just thinks I am crazy. Oh well...

yes Brahm, Deadwood is amazing. 7 episodes into season 1 and loving every bit of it.

how many seasons is it?

Unfortunately, season 3, while still very good, doesn't quite deliver as much on the awesome and the end is quite anti-climactic. Still such a brilliant show, especially in terms of writing (though the acting is certainly amazing as well); who'd have thought that lines that have the word cocksucker could be so... poetic? This is a show I always watch with subtitles on. And that's a complete compliment.

I got that much from watching it. Is it usually as horribly run as when Zizek was on it? He'd quote Zizek out of context and as soon as Zizek pushed the issue, Sackur would just drop it. Does it lean left or right? Is Sackur really a big of a capitalist stool pigeon as he seemed? Is this like The O'Reilly Factor or The Rachel Maddow Show equivalent?

Rarely watch a lot of them, but BBC programs are generally fairly centre-right. No idea about Sackur, but anything with a whiff of Commie-nism is generally treated with horror by big-name programs like that.
